
It was the late Oliver Brady’s (Colourful Horse Trainer & Entrepreneur) last wish and my promise for Shabra Charity to deliver this specialist equipment to the Mater which will help to save many lives in Ireland.
The Press Launch was attended by many well-known public figures including Heather Humphreys TD, (Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht,) Paráic Duffy, Director General GAA, Mary Day CEO of Mater Hospital and many of the Senior Consultants of Mater Hospital with many other top Sports Personalities.
The purpose was to raise public awareness of our fundraising efforts and the benefits and advancements this particular Genomic Sequencing Equipment will bring to the medical treatment, of the many individuals and families in Ireland, in areas such as Cardiac, Pathology, Oncology (Cancer), Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Neurology, Infectious disease and Ophthalmology, to name but a few.
