Children in Africa

Our commitment to supporting vulnerable children in Africa is deeply rooted in co-founder Rita Shah's Kenyan heritage. Having witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by children in her homeland, Rita's passion drives our initiatives to provide education, nourishment, and hope to those in need.

Our Initiatives:

  • Ewang'an Emaa Primary School, Kenya: We built four classrooms and a community hall, providing a proper learning space and a hub for community support. By supplying livestock, we’ve also ensured students have a sustainable source of nourishment.

  • St. Mary’s School, Papiri, Nigeria: We contributed €15,000 to help develop this school, creating a safe and supportive environment where children can learn and build a better future.

  • Transforming Lives: Proper classrooms have improved attendance and academic performance, giving children the opportunity to thrive in structured learning environments.

  • Community Empowerment: The community hall serves as a centre for events, workshops, and training, fostering unity and active participation among parents and locals.

Our Initiatives:

  • Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Lab at Mater Hospital: We helped establish a state-of-the-art gene sequencing lab, enabling faster and more accurate diagnoses of cardiac and cancer-related conditions.

  • Fulfilling Oliver Brady’s Promise: Honouring our late co-founder’s vision, we provided Ireland’s first DNA gene testing equipment, enhancing early detection and treatment for patients.

  • Advancing Patient Care: Genomic sequencing technology has transformed diagnostics at Mater Hospital, allowing for personalised treatments and better health outcomes.

  • Professional Endorsements: Experts, including Dr. Joe Galvin, have praised this technology for its role in preventing and treating genetic diseases in Ireland.
