Oliver Brady Memorial 45-Hole Golf Marathon

The Oliver Brady Memorial 45-Hole Golf Marathon, held on Wednesday, 21st June 2023 at Moyvalley Hotel & Golf Resort, was a fantastic day for golf enthusiasts and supporters of the Shabra Charity Foundation.

Golfers took on the unique challenge of a 45-hole marathon, testing their skills while raising vital funds for the upgrading of Gene Sequencing equipment at the Mater Hospital. This advanced medical technology is crucial in diagnosing serious illnesses earlier, helping extend and improve lives.

The event saw strong participation, with golfers from Monaghan, Armagh, Dundalk, Galway, Meath, Kildare, and Dublin joining the challenge. Some competed for the Marathon Champion title, while others embraced the event for fun and charity.

Shabra Charity CEO, Rita Shah, expressed gratitude to all participants, noting the overwhelming support, with most of the previous year’s players returning for 2023. The day included breakfast on the course, lunchtime refreshments, and a celebratory Dinner & Presentation at Moyvalley Hotel.
